We have a Christian school at our church that enrolls around 250 students per year. We have no problem finding good "Christian school" kids. We could do a better job of getting into some public schools.Could some of you that deal more with public school kids give some ideas as to reaching them and their families?

That is a great question. We do not have a Christian School. I can't wait for the day. I know we will have one soon.
The majority of the teens that come are from public schools. I have a teen chapel during sunday school hour. Before they go to their individual sunday school class we all meet together.
Any visitor that comes gets a card to fill out so I have their contact info. Also I send out email blasts about the upcoming sunday.
Occasionally I will have a big day so I can get a bunch of contacts.
But to tell you the truth, we had our core group start inviting their public school friends and before long we staarted having 5+ visitors each week.
I am constantly talking and promoting bringing visitors.
I get alot of prospects during my activities.
Also, the Teen ATTAC I was talking about in another blog we have great visitor attendance because all the teens love it.
I will keep thinking about what we do that works and let you know.
That's good. The best advertisement is word-of-mouth. I guess it's a lot like selling....it's marketing. You have to have something that they want. Thanks, man. Keep the ideas coming.
